Closing / Winterization Options - In Ground

Close/Winterization Process Detail

  1. Blow debris/leaves from pool deck
  2. Leaf net pool floor (up to 30 minutes)
  3. Vacuum pool (up to 30 minutes)
  4. Brush ENTIRE pool surface
  5. Remove and hose off Filter
  6. Drain water to appropriate level
  7. Remove and clean skimmer & pump basket(s)
  8. Remove filter pressure gauge
  9. Remove all equipment drain plugs; place in pump basket
  10. Assess gaskets and o-rings at disassembly; apply PTFE grease
  11. Purge water from plumbing lines
  12. Remove Salt Cell if equipped 
  13. Apply pool grade anti-freeze to lines and skimmers as appropriate
  14. Plug skimmers and return lines
  15. Apply winter shock & algaecide
  16. Turn off outside breaker & gas if equipped
  17. Skim pool
  18. Install cover
  19. Advise of necessary repairs 

Open Process Detail

  1. Blow debris from cover and pool deck
  2. Remove and fold cover
  3. Place folded cover in bag poolside to dry
  4. Remove all winterization plugs & Gizzmo’s; place in bag
  5. Reattach plumbing as appropriate
  6. Reassemble Filter System
  7. Assess condition of gaskets and o-rings during disassembly and apply PTFE grease
  8. Reattach salt cell if removed
  9. Install filter gauge
  10. Install skimmer and pump basket
  11. Leaf rake pool bottom
  12. Vacuum pool – 30 minutes
  13. Skim pool
  14. Install salt cell, sanitizer cartridge or tabs
  15. Start system
  16. Apply initial chlorine shock
  17. Brush ENTIRE pool surface
  18. Test in-pool light(s)
  19. Test fire heater
  20. Visually assess pool surface
  21. System Diagnostic
  22. Set out customer auto cleaner if available
  23. Post-open report
  24. Advise of necessary repairs

Close/Winterization + Open Base Rate

$900

Rate may vary based on pool configuration. A la Carte options and configuration rates are listed on service agreement.

Rate based on pool in normal in/off season condition with no algae. Chemical quantities applied during close/open are billed in addition unless otherwise noted in agreement Service Description. Signed agreement and deposit required to schedule close/open.

Single Close Rate

Close/Winterization Base Rate - Single Service

$550

Rate may vary based on pool configuration. A la Carte options and configuration rates are listed on service agreement.

Rate based on pool in normal in-season operating condition with no algae and following proper maintenance. Winterization chemical quantities applied will be billed in addition unless otherwise noted in agreement Service Description. Signed agreement and deposit required to schedule close.
