Closing / Winterization - In Ground

We ensure your pool is clean and properly winterized. A well closed pool is a happier pool!

Comprehensive Close/Winterization Process

  1. Blow debris/leaves from pool deck
  2. Leaf net pool floor (up to 30 minutes)
  3. VACUUM pool to remove leaves & debris (up to 30 minutes)
  4. Remove and hose off DE Filter Panels or Cartridges
  5. Lower water to appropriate level
  6. Remove and clean skimmer & pump basket(s)
  7. Remove all equipment drain plugs; place in pump basket
  8. Winterize pump(s)
  9. Winterize filter
  10. Assess gaskets and o-rings at disassembly; apply PTFE grease
  11. Purge water from plumbing lines
  12. Winterize heater (if equipped)
  13. Remove Salt Cell if equipped 
  14. Apply pool grade anti-freeze to lines and skimmers as appropriate
  15. Install winterization plugs to skimmer and return lines
  16. Apply winter chemical kit
  17. Turn off circuit breaker & gas if equipped
  18. Skim pool
  19. Remove ladder and handrail(s)
  20. Install cover
  21. Advise of needed repairs

Rate based on pool in normal in/off season condition with no algae. Additional chemical quantities applied during close/open are billed in addition unless otherwise noted in agreement Service Description. Signed agreement and deposit required to schedule close/open.
