Comprehensive Close/Winterization Process

Blow debris/leaves from pool deck
Leaf net pool floor (up to 30 minutes)
VACUUM pool to remove leaves & debris (up to 30 minutes)
Brush pool surface
Remove and hose off DE Filter Panels or Cartridges
Lower water to appropriate level
Remove and clean skimmer & pump basket(s)
Remove all equipment drain plugs; place in pump basket
Winterize pump(s)
Winterize filter
Assess gaskets and o-rings at disassembly; apply PTFE grease
Purge water from plumbing lines
Winterize heater (if equipped)
Remove Salt Cell if equipped
Apply pool grade anti-freeze to lines and skimmers as appropriate
Install winterization plugs to skimmer and return lines
Apply included winter chemical kit
Turn off circuit breaker & gas if equipped
Skim pool
Remove ladder and handrail(s)
Install cover
Advise of needed repairs
